In a return engagement, Dr. Joyce King discusses the relationship between culture and education through demonstration and numerous examples. This presentation is designed to support the development of “teachers as producers of knowledge.” Cultural responsive practice is articulated through video, discussion, assessments, and case study. Dr. King is author of “Cultural Knowledge” in the text, Teaching Children of Color: Seven Constructs of Effective Teaching in Urban Schools.
